Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 15 (Interstate 95/Route 128). After the tolls, follow the signs for Route 95/128 South. Exit Route 95/128 South at exit 19B (Highland Avenue, Needham). Follow Highland Avenue to three-way intersection with Chapel and May Streets; bear slight right onto Chapel St. Take a right at the next intersection onto Great Plain Avenue/Rte 135 just past "Not Your Average Joe's" restaurant. Then follow "From Great Plain Avenue" directions below.

Proceed on Great Plain Avenue for 1.5 miles and the Olin College campus will on the right. Enter the campus at "Olin way" and proceed about a quarter mile to an intersection. Proceed left to the main parking lot, which provides access to all campus buildings. Most administrative offices, including the Admission Office and the President's Office, are in the "Olin Center" off the main lot. Handicap parking is available.

Olin College is accessible by commuter rail from Boston on the Needham line. The line originates at Boston's South Station, and may also be boarded at Boston's Back Bay Station. The nearest commuter rail stop to Olin College is Needham Center, which is located at the intersection of Great Plain Avenue and Eaton Square. The college is a short taxi ride from Needham Center.

Amtrak's NortheastDirect Service stops at Route 128 in Westwood, about six miles from Needham. From there, take a taxi to Olin College. Amtrak continues on to Boston's South Station, where commuter rail service is available (see above).

The nearest major airport to Olin College is Boston's Logan Airport. The easiest, albeit costliest, way to and from the airport is to take a cab. Taxi stands are located at each Logan Airport terminal. The cost is approximately $45-50 each way. Allow 30-50 minutes for the trip.

Although downtown Boston is not terribly pleasant driving, you may wish to rent a car if you wish to visit attractions outside of the downtown area. Should you choose to rent a car at Logan, you should exit the airport following signs to the I-93 South and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Once you are heading west on the Massachusetts Turnpike, follow the directions above for from the east.

To get to Olin College via public transportation, take the Silver Line buses from the terminal to South Station in Boston (you will need $1.50 cash to go on this bus), and follow the above directions for travel by commuter rail.

An alternative route is to take the Logan Express shuttle from Framingham. The Logan Express shuttle stop is located near Shoppers’ World and goes to and from the airport every half-hour Monday-Friday from 4:00 am to 11 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 11 pm. On Saturdays and Sunday mornings, the service runs once an hour. The cost is $9 each way or $16 round trip. Shopper’s World is about a 20-25 minute drive away from campus and there is paid parking available. The cost for parking is $8.00/day, $48.00/week. Helpful Tip: Major airlines offer surprisingly competitive fares to the Boston area through T. F. Green Airport in Providence/Warwick, Rhode Island, which is approximately an one-hour drive by car from Olin College via Interstate 95 (Providence/Warwick).
